14 Weeks

Emmett is three months old and keeps us on our toes!  He smiles all the time, which is so much fun and is easily entertained.  He loves to stand up and has gained a lot of head control.  That is, until we put him in his Bumbo seat and actually want him to, then he can't hold his head up whatsoever.  Emmett still loves lights.  He is finally on a fairly consistent schedule which has been great for us!  Most nights he sleeps seven hours in a row, then will go for another four or so.  Emmett holds his pacifier in his mouth by himself and has started spitting it out in order to suck on his thumb instead.  He weighs 12lbs 13oz and is 23 inches long.  He started wearing some 6 month old clothes!  His bilirubin levels seem normal, praise the Lord!  (They continued to be high due to breast feeding).  Emmett still suffers from colic but gripe water really helps.  {Thanks Sierra & Michael!}  He has also started teething, and there are times where he will scream for hours on end.  He won't use a teething toy or anything of that nature yet; we are hoping it is just a phase.  Cloth diapers are still going great, and the system we are using has been an awesome experience.  Everyone here is doing great, just enjoying the daily grind.  Looking forward to finishing school this time next year.  Hope you enjoyed Valentine's Day with your loved ones, have a great day, and God Bless!
